It’s amazing just how teeny tiny babies are. I don’t think I really started thinking about it until I started knitting this sweater, which took me less time and about the same amount of yarn as my most recent hat. This babies body needs about as much fiber to cover it as my head! Insanity.
I started knitting this up right after I found out I was pregnant. I chose grey on purpose, and waited to put the buttons on until I found out it was a girl! It worked out because I usually procrastinate putting buttons on sweaters for a couple of weeks anyway.
This was my first time using this yarn, and I have to say I really like it for a simple cardigan! The stitches have great definition, and the yarn is definitely hardy enough to stand up to an infant. Plus, it’s really soft and squishy–not scratchy at all.
If you’re looking for a simple cardigan for a baby boy or girl, I’d highly recommend this one. It was easy to knit up, and easy to customize when it was all done.
