Next up in fall couch-fest knitting land is the aptly named Adorable Finger less Mittens by Andi Satterlund.
Aren’t they adorable??
Although I have about a gazillion other projects in my ravelry queue, as soon as Andi published these, I pushed them to the top of my to-do list.
I was able to knit them up over the course of 2 days, and I only used one skein of yarn. I have no clue what the yarn is, what it’s made of it, or how much of it I had! It was one of those bargain bin by the register purchases without a label that I made ages ago. I just loved the colors and took it home with me!
I’m pretty sure that the fiber content is mostly synthetic, so I’m hoping these won’t felt if I put them through the washing machine. As much as I love soft wool all over my body, anything around my hands has a tendency to get pretty icky over the winter season (read: touches the disgusting NYC subway twice a day) and I like to be able to throw it in the wash with the rest of my things.
I really love the little leafy detail on the back of the hands. It was really easy to do, but I love the effect.
If you’re looking for a quick, easy stash-busting weekend project, or for a cute holiday gift (no sizes needed when there are no fingers!) this is a winner!
