It’s no secret that I love Andi Satterlund’s patterns. When I started this, it was her most recent release. When I finished, it may have even been her most recent release. However, I finished on December 17th (according to my Ravelry page) and it’s currently April 24th. I’m kind of a procrastinator, what can I say?
Anyway, this is Hetty. And, boy did she give me trouble. I was really on track to finish up in about a month, which is kind of a knitting record for me. Then, I hit the body and COULD NOT follow the lace repeats. All I have to say is this: if you knit this puppy up, you must, must, MUST use stitch markers for the decreases in the body.
Once the stitch markers were in place I sped through the rest. Looking back, I really wish I had made the body just a bit longer and the arms a bit smaller. They are a bit too baggy for my liking, and I feel like the lace looks better with just a little bit of negative ease. Unfortunately, I made this in the smallest size (which is perfect for my torso) and I am just not good enough to rewrite the sleeves. But, I knit this sweater and I will be wearing it!
I am really proud of seeing this through, though. All of that lace almost made me a quitter!
