Sorry I’ve been so absent here on the blog over the past couple of weeks. Trust me, I’m still reading all about everything you guys are doing, because there’s ALWAYS time for that. But, anyway, back to the matter at hand: where have I been??? I’m supposed to be sewing for victory, and making something new every two weeks, and writing two blog posts a week! What happened to my sew-o-lutions?
I have several excuses: (stop reading if you just don’t want to hear it, I’ll understand)
1. Well, I was sick a couple of weeks ago! That seriously slowed me down. Gosh, I hate the cold!
2. Confession: I’m in a community theater production of Godspell! Yes, I do more than sew and knit and crochet. Sometimes I leave the house… It’s been taking up tons of time! But–I did sew my costume up, so that has to count for something, right? The show is the next two weekends, then I will have all of my precious sewing time back! Yayyy! I’ll try to get some pictures of my costume for you guys.
3. I’ve been hard at work at opening up my Etsy shop. I have a LOT of vintage patterns because I just can’t say no. Really, who can? And, I would love to share them with everyone (at least the ones that aren’t my size and my taste). But, that means that I have to make sure they’re perfect before I send them out into the world to make other people happy, which takes a lot of time. Hopefully, I’ll have it up and running by the end of the month, then I can share the goodies with you! There are a few things there now if you’re interested, but I promise to have a grand-opening special for you guys when I am ready to open-up shop for good!
|I’m especially fond of this one!|
4. I’m really trying to put a little more love into my makes. Sometimes, the pressure to make something causes me to rush through things. I’m trying to sew a little slower, put a little more love in, and pay attention to the details. Plus spring is just around the corner. That means sundresses, people!
I do have a couple of new things that I’m hoping I’ll be able to show you next week, including a Sew Free project perfect for the winter chill!
